Nova X Physica

Reasoning at 100 Hz.

The intelligence behind every Nova X robot — controlling a single machine in real time, and scaling up to orchestrate the rhythm of an entire site.

Moving beyond individual agents, Physica is more than just the brain of our robots: it is an Industrial Intelligence that understands and operates entire sites — learning logistics and manufacturing processes, deploying robots to tasks, adapting to seasonal demand, and improving the operation itself.

Smart enough to reason. Fast enough to work.

Physical AI faces a hard tradeoff. The large models that can actually reason about a task run their reasoning at single-digit hertz — careful, slow, and bound to the demo floor. The controllers fast enough for real work can't reason at all.

Physica is built to break that tradeoff: foundation-model reasoning unified with real-time control in a single system, so a robot can plan like a large model and react at over 100 Hz.

Speed is not a detail. A robot that reasons but moves at demo speed can never be deployed — and a robot that is never deployed never produces the real-world data that makes Physical AI improve. Real-time execution is what turns a deployment into a data ladder.

Switch axes: every alternative falls short on at least one. Physica is the only system that leads on all three.

Platform Architecture

From a single task to the whole operation.

Physica spans three levels, each running at the frequency its job demands — from real-time execution on a single robot to planning across the entire site. One system that reasons about the whole operation and acts on it in real time.

Level 20.1 Hz

Site operations

Understands the whole operation, not just one robot — planning across stations, deploying robots to tasks just-in-time, and proposing improvements to the process itself.

  • Whole-site understanding
  • Cross-station orchestration
  • Just-in-time robot deployment
  • Process-improvement proposals
Level 110 Hz

Robot & task

Turns a task into action — reasoning about the scene and the steps, and predicting outcomes before committing to them.

  • Task planning
  • Scene understanding
  • Multi-step reasoning
  • Outcome prediction
Level 0100 Hz

Execution

Real-time control that turns intent into precise, high-speed motion on the robot.

  • Real-time, torque-level control
  • High-speed movement
  • Force and tactile feedback
  • Runs on-robot

Intent flows down from site planning to real-time motion; real-world experience flows back up to improve every level.

The Data Ladder

From one task to industrial intelligence.

Physical AI is bottlenecked by data — and the only data that truly teaches a skill comes from robots doing real work, not from watching human video or scraping text.

The only way to learn it is to do it.

So every deployment adds a rung. A robot masters a task. Physica learns the station around it, then the line, then the rhythms of the whole site — until it doesn't just execute work, it understands and improves the operation.

This is the data ladder: real-world experience compounding into industrial intelligence, rung by rung. Waymo built autonomy by mastering the real world rather than waiting for it — we are building industrial intelligence the same way.

  1. 1Master a task
  2. 2Understand the station
  3. 3Orchestrate the line
  4. 4Run the whole site

Each rung is earned in the real world — and compounds into industrial intelligence.

Sovereignty

Full-depth operations, wherever you need them.

An operation's hardest asset to replace is its know-how — the accumulated understanding of how the work actually gets done. Physica captures that depth: every task, every station, every process, held as intelligence you own.

That makes capability portable. Stand up a competitive operation wherever you need one — close to demand and resilient to a volatile world, no longer constrained by where the expertise happens to live.

Industrial Intelligence, in action.

Physica is the intelligence behind every Nova X robot — and the operations they run.
